Absolute Law of Attraction Beginner

Hi John, My Dad gave me the book 'Ask and It Is Given
' by Esther and Jerry Hicks about a year ago. About 5 weeks ago I finally got around to reading it, and I'm so glad that I did. It made sense of so many things for me and I realise that I am in fact already attracting many things that I want into my life.
For example earlier this year I had been telling a friend that I would love the opportunity to spend some time in New York, just to explore.
On my way back home to the UK from a trip to Tennessee my journey was disrupted by the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud and I was 'stranded' in New York for 8 days. I had such a fantastic time.
Similarly earlier this year about 1 week before Glastonbury, I stated that I really wished that I had bought a ticket to go. (There is no way to buy a ticket at such a late date privately as all tickets other than traders tickets have a photo of the ticket holder on them) 2 days later I had an message from a friend who had a traders ticket but was no longer able to go.
I took her ticket and again had an amazing time.
For the past 5 weeks I have been between jobs, and so read the Hicks book.
Having read it I found myself thinking I would love to have some sort of confirmation that there is some truth in this from a source that I trust.
The next day when I looked on Facebook there was a link with an article in the Huffington post written by my yoga teacher writing about exactly this.
I have spent much time with this teacher, and in the 2 and a half years that I have been practising, I have never before heard him talk of the law of attraction.
Early days for me I guess, but so far so good. The law of attraction really seems to work. Lets see what happens from here on in.
