Do You Have To Decide

by Terry

I have been enjoying the Unlock The Power of You Lessons so far. My question is do you have to decide an exact amount of money and by what date? Napoleon Hill's book states that you need to decide on an exact amount and by what date?

However, many teachers do not agree on this subject.

Thanks
Terry

Law-of-Attraction-Guide Reply

Most people want to, or have a desire to be successful, but wanting success is a waste of time. Worse, it just produces frustration! Only a burning, all-consuming, fervent and passionate desire will produce the exceptional results that make up true success.

Wanting is best understood by its second meaning in the dictionary: lack.

To want for something is to lack something and so long as you merely want success, you will lack success.

Wanting is mere wishful thinking, desire, on the other hand, is an extremely potent force. It is a supreme motivator. It is a metaphysical principle of creation.

Desire is an energetic emanation of the human spirit that enacts the Law of Attraction, desire is the metaphysical equivalent of gravity, desire draws to you the thing desired, or the elements that will constitute the thing desired.

Desire is the fuel that ignites the fire that transmutes thoughts into things.

The sad truth about most people who claim to want success, is that they actually do not desire success, what they desire is comfort and security.

If you just want to be financially successful, you will keep wanting and wanting to no avail, until, you graduate from mealy wanting, to truly desiring success, and, as a result, you will almost magically be catapulted into the financial status you desire status.

The method by which desire for riches can be transformed into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps.

First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say, "I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness).

Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing.)

Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning.

As you read, see, feel and believe yourself.

But not only must you have a burning desire for a specific thought of success, but you must also have the faith or belief that success is not only available to you as an abstract, but it is your birthright and all you need to do is claim it as your own and it shall be yours.

Your faith in your ideal and your faith in your right to the ‘haveness’ of this ideal is crucial to your being able to end up having it.

Most people have their faith or belief formed by the evidence of what has already happened or been made manifest.

As a result, they find it difficult to believe in things that are not historically proven.

If what has been historically proven for the masses and for you personally (thus far) is mediocrity, then without the belief in the potentiality of success as being 'as real as' the actuality of mediocrity, you will not be able to achieve the imagined ideal of success.

Faith is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion. It is a state of mind which you may develop at will, after you have mastered the thirteen principles, because it is a state of mind which develops voluntarily, through application and use of these principles.

Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious mind is the only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith.

And all thought which have been emotionalized and mixed with faith, begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart.

The application of the principle of autosuggestion, is done in the following way.

First. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I Demand of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

Second. I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality, therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for thirty minutes daily, upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

Third. I know through the principle of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it, therefore, I will devote ten minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of Self-Confidence.

Fourth. I have clearly written down a description of my Definite Chief Aim in life, and I will never stop trying, until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

Fifth. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction, which does not benefit all whom it affects.
