I Can Attract Anything But Money

by Kristen G.

I just wanted to start by saying that you offering free advice in such great care and detail is truly angelic. Thank you for making yourself available to us. My problem is that I have more confidence in attracting the perfect house, and a job if I wanted a new one, but when it comes to making my home business a success....I have a fear that my visualizations and affirmations wont help me.

My reason for starting this home business is....

To be able to contribute to my husband’s income, which is supporting us paycheck to paycheck right now.

To be able to put my 3.5 yr old in preschool which costs $500 a month.

To have a new car.

To live in a descent home which is about $300 more a month in rent, (instead of our crappy filthy apartment with a cheap landlord that wont fix anything).

So my husband doesn’t have to work 12 hour days just to pay the bills.

To be able to eat out 3 times a week because I hate cooking.

To have babysitting money for evenings when I want to have alone time with my husband

To be able to buy clothes for the whole family once a month, instead of twice a year....about 1 to 2 outfit per person twice a year, and sometimes my husband goes without just so my kids will have more.

My husband wears the same 2 pants we have and same 3 shirts and same 1 pair of shoes all the time. We don’t have much.

I want to stay as a homemaker, without the suffering, to be able to take my kids to Disneyland once a year, which is impossible because we have no extra money.

If I get a job, I will only get minimum wage so its not worth it, when I have to pay for someone else to pick my kids up from and to school, day-care for the little one etc...

I just want an easier life for us. I don’t want to be rich or anything, I just want to bring home an extra $2000 so that we can move into a home, get a new car that actually has air conditioning, etc... have cable TV and DSL, and new computer that wasn’t bought used, with keys fallen off..., and lots more that normal people have that we don’t have.

I don’t want to visualize the wants one-by-one, it would take months to get each one, when I could just visualize my home based business a success.

I hear people saying that its wrong to want money and that visualizing having more money is not going to make it happen, because its wrong.

I was planning on visualizing depositing my paycheck from this company I would work from home for, and for the amount of $3000 (gross, they don’t deduct taxes so I have to say $3000 to make it $2000 after taxes.) and then I imagine being happy with my family having the money to get all the things we need and want without a struggle.

AM I wrong for wanting this amount of success and money?

Thank you for your kind comments Kristen...

To begin with, it definitely isn’t wrong to want money, in fact it is your right to have and want more of anything you wish.

A lot of people have some mixed up ideas of what money really represents, they are told that, “money is the root of all evil,” which is probably why it is labelled as wrong to want to attract money.

But there is some truth that it is difficult to manifest money through the use of visualizations and affirmations. To understand why, you have to understand what money really is....

I know that seems like an odd thing to say, but you must really start to think about money in a different way in order to attract it.

Here’s a short passage from David Cameron’s book, “A Happy Pocketful of Money”, one of our Law of Attraction training program study books.

Money is merely legal tender, a form of exchange. We use it to exchange value. It represents value. Money is the “body” of value. It is the physical representation of value that rises and falls in ourselves, within us. Not within “things” outside of us, but within us. For without us, what can the value of a thing, such as a car, be to us?

Nothing, at least not to us. In other words, it is we, the observers, that place value in things, but this value is really value in us—we give value to the material things.

The material things have no “money” value in themselves—we give that to them. So money is the external physical representation of a particular section of our internal value, within us, within you. That is why a house or a block of shares valued at $1 million today can fall to a valuation of half a million dollars tomorrow when fear is introduced into the hearts of those involved. The fear kills a portion of the internal values of the participants, and that is reflected by the paper money, the “body” of value.

Here is something else: physical paper money does not even represent money in full. It cannot reasonably do that. By some estimates (and this varies from nation to nation), only as little as 4 percent of the money in the banks exists as paper cash. Imagine how much cotton, linen, pulp, and metal the world would need so as to make all the money everyone has in his or her bank accounts. Imagine how much space it would take to store all this money in paper form.

In understanding this, it is clearly difficult to attract money, when it is not the money you want, it is what the money brings.

As you so clearly put it... The House, The Car, Evenings Out, The Clothes etc... etc...

This is why it is better to concentrate your efforts on the representations of wealth, rather than the wealth itself.

Another thing worth saying, is that to truly attract anything you have to get into the feeling of having it now.

Having it now is an important feeling to have during your visualizations, and this feeling should, as much as possible, be carried into your day.

If you don’t your visualizations will have far less power, and by the tone of your question, you don’t seem to be living ‘as if you had it now.’

Every reason you give for wanting this wealth is followed by a justification or a complaint, and it is these reasons you give for wanting better wealth, that I would definitely look to address. To help remove these negative emotions sign up for the Unlock The Power of You free lessons.

It is by noticing and offering vibration to the things you don’t want, that more of these things are becoming your experience.

If you truly trusted that this wealth would be with you sometime this week, this month, or this year, how much energy would you spend on noticing your unwanted experiences? Especially as you would be in such excited anticipation of all your wanted experiences.

This trust is the difference between attracting your most wanted desires, or attracting your biggest fears.

Abraham-Hicks describe this as being in The Vortex: Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships, and the book is well worth reading.

Here’s a video from Abraham-Hicks, which demonstrates this quite well, it’s called Aligning With Your Veritable Fortune.

Aligning With Your Veritable Fortune

So when it comes down to visualizing your desires, there are a couple of ways I would approach this.

You could either visualize your life as you wish it to be, perhaps running a film scene in your mind, incorporating all your desires into it.

Or you could start to try to manifest some smaller ‘wants’, and as you become more confident, as each little coincidences come together, then your faith and belief will grow, and as it does you can start to make bigger changes.

I know that you said that, “it would take months to get each one,” well maybe it would, maybe it wouldn’t, but far better to be moving towards your goal, then to be standing still wondering when this will all happen.
