I Can’t Get The Law of Attraction Right

I have been studying the Law of Attraction for quiet some time now. I am trying to manifest a number of things right now, a new home, better health for my children, a secure job, better transportation, etc.


Where I'm staying I am surrounded by negativity, I look at the positive aspects of the people around me, but it doesn't seem to help. Once I am away from home, I am better. It would be nice to have my own home, where I could relax and be able to meditate. But of course, I would still be taking me along. How do I find serenity where I'm at?

You must appreciate that life in another’s shoes must look so much different to yours.

The things someone else experiences, from their perspective, makes them feel the way they feel, and if you were to have the same experiences as them, you would undoubtedly not react in the same way.

That is contrast, and you need contrast to realise your desires.

You cannot condemn bad, for without it how would you know good.

You cannot denounce poverty, for without it how would you know richness.

You cannot complain at sickness, for without it how would you know health.

In your question you say that you are surrounded by negativity, yet for you to know that you are surrounded by negativity, you must be judging whether someone is positive or negative.

Judging goes completely against the principle of working with the Law of Attraction.

By judging people as negative you are holding them in that place, your thought of them being negative manifests a stronger feeling of negativity within you.

When you feel this negative experience, or their expression that you interpret as negative, you must look back towards yourself, and choose what it is that you desire.

You do have a choice.

If you need to leave, then leave. If you choose to stay, then stay. But if you decide to stay, you must look towards yourself to try to understand, what it is within you, that makes you feel so uncomfortable.

Learn to accept it, learn to integrate it. Allow what it is that makes you feel this way to grow, and change. Or if you are still uncomfortable and can’t change your thought, you could then leave. It is your choice.

You cannot expect other people to change the way they live their lives, because you are uncomfortable.

If you knew your potential to feel good, you would ask no one to be different, so you can feel good.

You would free yourself of all that cumbersome impossibility of needing to control the world, or control your mate, or control your child.

You are the only one who creates your reality, for no one else can think for you. No one else can do it. It is only you."

Knowing what you want will help you decide what to think, and if you know what you want and what to think, it is a good idea to replace your negative thoughts or uncomfortable feelings, with a positive affirmation based on what you want.

Build an affirmation for yourself, taking all the qualities of the thing you most desire. Make this an affirmation of positive intent, starting with the words “I am.”

Be sure that your affirmation is you related, not related to unwanted experiences you recognise in others.

David Cameron in his book A Happy Pocket Full of Money, suggests the affirmation, “I am wealth, I am abundance, I am Joy.”

Charles Haanel in his book The Master Key System, suggests the affirmation, “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.”

Repeat your affirmation as much as you can, never vary it, make it a part of you until when you wake up in the night you find yourself repeating it.

Make it the last thing on your lips at night and the first thing you say in the morning.

But don’t just affirm this to yourself, affirm it to everyone you think would benefit from it. It is by helping others achieve their desires, that you will achieve yours to, you reap what you sow.

Just as you have been reaping negativity from people around you, by sowing thoughts of their negativity, so shall you reap love, health and abundance from people around you, by sowing thoughts of love, health and abundance.

You are the sum total of your own thoughts, so it is very important to think positively, and not to think negatively. The trouble is, how can you only think positive thoughts, and reject negative ones.

To begin with, you will find it very difficult to stop negative thoughts coming, but you can easily stop entertaining them, The best way to do this is to forget them, which means, get something for them, which is when your readymade affirmation comes into play.

When any unwanted thoughts pop into your head, just start your affirmation going, as a negative can not exist in the presence of a positive.
