The Law of Attraction And Off Vibration Days

I was wondering how do we deal with those days where you just cant get to a place of positive thinking and feeling. What I mean is, it is impossible to ALWAYS feel good and to visualise having something you don't have, and it’s easy to slip into a negative state.

Before I came to know of the Law of Attraction I would have days where a negative feeling would come around and last for days, and then I would have attracted a negative situation.

Now, knowing that I need to be on good vibrations, when I have a low day sometimes I still feel like I can't get to a place of happiness, but I don't dwell on those feelings, but embrace them and tell myself that they wont last for long.

Sometimes I even have the negative thoughts on certain things I am visualising, but because of my desire of the thing I want, the negative thought I would say is not as strong as the positive thought I would normally have.

I remember in The Secret when discussing about how long it takes for a manifestation, the teachers said that there is no time limit. However, I am sure many who are not experts on the Law of Attraction, but are adamant practitioners of it, especially those of us who are just learning, feel that when you think positive thoughts they take longer to happen, whereas the negative thoughts happens quickly.

For example, currently I am visualising being with a guy I am in a long distant relationship. I can honestly say a majority of my thoughts are positive but on a day where I am simply having a bad day, I start thinking that he and I wont be together.

Because I know I should be thinking happy thoughts of us being together, I wonder if even having slight negative thoughts are jeopardising my wish.

I suppose I want to know is it ok to have an off vibration day?

Does even having one day of negative thinking of a desire which 99% of the time is positive, jeopardise the chance of it being brought about?

I am not so sure how well I have explained and asked the question.

You make some interesting points, especially on your ideas about time, and I shall try to clear them up for you.

When you talk about there being no time limit, as was suggested in the film The Secret, you have to understand that time really doesn’t come into it.

You see, your outer experience is a reflection of your inner beliefs, and when you try to describe why it is that beginners to this take longer to manifest things, than people who have practised this for some time, are you describing the evidence of things seen, or are you describing the evidence of things believed?

Wayne Dyer put it, “You'll See It When You Believe It.”

If it is that our outer experience reflects our inner beliefs, then the reality of your now experience must reflect the reality of our now thoughts, beliefs and emotions.

And, if this is the case, what are the thoughts, beliefs and emotions that cause your reality to be anything less
than the reality you desire?

I would call the thoughts, beliefs and emotions that limit the results that you wish to see, your limiting beliefs, and unfortunately no amount of positive thinking or visualizations will bring you your most desired experience, until you deal with these limiting issues.

So what are these limiting beliefs?

Another issue that I think the film The Secret has caused is the idea behind visualization.

I think that many people think that visualization itself, is an ‘asking’ process, and there is a lot of frustration with the lack of results these visualization exercises are producing.

The power behind any visualization is not the clarity of the image, but the clarity of the feeling, and even if this was a good feeling exercise, with strong emotional feeling involved, it’s pretty useless if that emotional vibration is not brought into the rest of the day.

Visualization is a tool. A tool to discover the emotional feeling of having your desires now, a way of raising vibration and combating low vibrational moments.

But it also has its drawbacks. It can also underline the emotion of not having your desires now, as when you visualize your desires it feels good, but when you are not doing your visualization exercise, it is all to easy to feel the lack of the things you most want.

And as you feel the lack or the want of what you desire, your desires are held further away from you.

This leads many people to visualize more, to ask more, and as they do, it gets even easier to feel the lack and the want of what they are asking for. Which of course, holds things up even further.

Visualization is not for everyone and if you are having difficulty aligning to your desires, then maybe give your visualization exercises a rest. After all, you know what it is you wish to experience, and if you know, there is no need to ask anymore.

I would certainly suggest that you try to align to the good things going on in your now experience, and the best way to do that is through gratitude.

Gratitude will teach you to focus on the positive things in your life, and if you find yourself thinking and feeling any negative thoughts, it is easier to gain control by expressing thoughts of good things now, rather than good things to come.

You will also find meditation very helpful, as you will gain far more control over your thoughts and emotions.
