Burning Goals Into Your Mind

Visualization scripts or word visualizations involve using a written word, phrase or statement rather like a positive affirmation.

As with any visualization exercise you will need to be in a relaxed happy state before continuing and repeat the exercise once or twice a day.

This is how to make a Word Visualization.


Take any single target word or phrase about who you are, your ability, or what you want to accomplish and write it on a index card.

When you write your script use statements of who you are, statements of your potential or statements of positive change in your life.

These would be I Am, I Can or I Will statements.

Examples of word visualizations could be, I am enthusiastic, I can heal or I will gain emotional strength each day.

If you follow the rules covered in the Writing Affirmations Page you will have a good starting point

Once you have written your word visualization get yourself into a relaxed state, preferably just before you go to bed.

Hold the card about 12" to 24" from your eyes.

Focus your eyes on the word or statement and concentrate your attention.

Hold this thought for up to 10 minutes working up to 20 to 30 minutes, as you practise.

Do this exercise nightly for at least two weeks.

As you continue, you are burning the image of your goal word into your mind. It will be with you in your thoughts as you proceed in your everyday life.

Another great way to use these scripts would be to record yourself saying them, and then using the recording at times when you are alone, possibly commuting to work listening through a mobile device, or even playing them through the car sound system.

These days, with mobiles and portable devices, it’s getting easier and easier to make your own recordings, and by repeating them often, your visualization scripts will become more powerful.
